Yes. RaffleVault operates as a nonprofit raffle platform. Proceeds beyond operational costs go toward funding the prize pool and platform sustainability. We don't profit from raffle ticket sales โ the model is designed so that ticket revenue covers the prize and operating costs, with transparent allocation.

Odds & Probability
Your odds depend on how many tickets you hold and the total ticket count for that raffle. We publish the exact odds on every raffle page โ no guessing required.
Lower Tier โ 5,000 total tickets · $5/ticket · prizes up to $10,000
1 ticket = 1-in-5,000 chance (0.02%) per drawing
Upper Tier โ 10,000 total tickets · $7/ticket · prizes up to $30,000
1 ticket = 1-in-10,000 chance (0.01%) per drawing
Premium Tier โ 10,000 total tickets · $10/ticket · prizes up to $65,000
1 ticket = 1-in-10,000 chance (0.01%) per drawing
Collectibles Tier โ 5,000 total tickets · price varies by prize value · no cap
1 ticket = 1-in-5,000 chance (0.02%) per drawing Ticket price = prize value รท 2,000 (e.g. $5,000 item โ $2.50/ticket)
Buying more tickets improves your odds linearly. 10 tickets in a 5,000-ticket raffle = 1-in-500 (0.2%). Odds are always displayed in real time on the raffle detail page.
Fixed maximum ticket counts mean your odds are always calculable before you buy. No raffle can sell "extra" tickets beyond its stated limit, so the odds you see at listing time are exactly what you get. This is a core design principle โ competitors often don't publish odds at all. We believe that's unfair.
Yes โ you can purchase multiple tickets for any single raffle up to the available limit. Each ticket is a separate entry. There's no cap on entries per user unless noted on a specific raffle listing.

Drawing Method
We use a provably fair, SHA-256 seeded random number generator. Here's exactly how it works:
1. Seed generation โ When a raffle closes, we combine three entropy sources: a server-generated random seed, the Unix timestamp of raffle closure, and a hash of all ticket IDs in the pool.
2. SHA-256 hash โ These are concatenated and hashed with SHA-256, producing a deterministic output.
3. Ticket selection โ The hash is converted to a number modulo the total ticket count, selecting the winning ticket index.
4. Public verification โ The winning ticket number, the pre-image data, and the resulting hash are published on the Winners page. Anyone can verify the math.
No human can influence the outcome after ticket sales close. The drawing is fully automated.
"Provably fair" means the randomness can be independently verified by a third party after the fact. You don't have to trust us โ you can check the math yourself.
Each winning result on the Winners page includes:
The winning ticket number
The SHA-256 verification hash
The timestamp and seed inputs used
Paste these into any SHA-256 calculator to confirm the output matches the published hash.
No. The seed is generated at drawing time (not before ticket sales), and the entropy inputs include data that wasn't known when tickets were sold. No participant โ including RaffleVault staff โ can know the winning ticket in advance or retroactively influence the outcome.
Additionally: all staff and administrators are prohibited from entering any raffles. See Eligibility below.

Cash-Out Option
Yes. Every winner can choose between:
Option A โ Take the prize
We ship the physical product to you at no additional cost.
Option B โ Cash out at 60%
Receive 60% of the prize's retail value as a cash payment. Paid via bank transfer, PayPal, or Stripe (winner's choice).
The cash value is based on the prize's listed retail price at the time the raffle was created. This value is locked in and visible on every raffle listing page.
The 40% discount covers the cost of sourcing, processing, and prize acquisition. We buy prizes in advance โ if a winner takes cash, we still hold the physical item and need to recoup that cost. 60% is designed to be genuinely attractive while keeping the platform solvent.

Eligibility
To enter any RaffleVault raffle, you must:
Be 18 years of age or older โ verified at registration via date of birth
Have a valid email address โ used for account verification and winner notification
Not be a RaffleVault employee, contractor, or administrator
Not be an immediate family member of the above (spouse, parent, sibling, child)
Age verification: Your date of birth is recorded at signup. Accounts where date of birth cannot be verified as 18+ will have ticket purchases blocked automatically. Misrepresenting your age is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in permanent account suspension.
RaffleVault is currently available to residents of the United States. Some states may have additional restrictions on online raffles โ we comply with state law in all operating jurisdictions. If your state prohibits online raffle entry, you will be notified during checkout and will not be charged.
International expansion is planned but not yet live.
Staff and administrators have access to operational systems and must not have any financial interest in raffle outcomes. This is a hard rule, enforced at the account level โ admin-flagged accounts cannot purchase tickets. It's a baseline integrity requirement, not a policy we'll ever waive.

Tickets & Payment
Ticket prices vary by raffle and are listed clearly on each raffle card. Prices typically range from $1 to $25 per ticket depending on the prize value and tier. The price per ticket is fixed for the life of a raffle โ it won't change after you buy.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) via Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported on compatible devices. We do not accept cryptocurrency, gift cards, or cash payments.
Tickets are non-refundable once purchased, except in these circumstances:
The raffle is cancelled by RaffleVault before the drawing (full refund to original payment method)
A verified technical error resulted in a duplicate charge (refund for the duplicate amount)
The ticket purchase was declined but your card was charged (we'll refund immediately)
To request a refund for any of the above, email support@rafflevault.com with your order details within 14 days.
Note: "I didn't win" is not grounds for a refund. All tickets are entered into drawings as-is. Odds are disclosed upfront.
Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. RaffleVault never stores your card number, CVV, or billing details โ that data goes directly to Stripe's servers and never touches ours.
